When it comes to the understanding of marriage Biblically, its holiness (connection to God), its law, concepts, and what violates its sacredness, Christendom is detrimentally without knowledge. Because of this lack of knowledge, church leaders are incapable, and somewhat reluctant, in instructing the converts of faith in the truths of marriage. Not knowing or understanding God’s design and expectations opens the door for false cultural perceptions to be the rule. However, any way but God’s way can resort to a life of living in sin. “My people are destroyed for a lack of knowledge… (Hosea 4:6).

If marriage is indeed ordained of God, and believers and followers of Jesus Christ are set apart from the ungodly of the world and are privy to God’s wisdom in His creation of this wonderful and sacred institution, why then is the church such a failure in the greater understanding of its fundamental structural and statistical superiority? When the church’s marital condition is as bad or worse than the world’s, is it any wonder the church is mocked by the world where the unregenerate feel justified in claiming, equally, their worthiness of heaven?

My goal has been to teach the truth about Biblical marriage, hopefully inspiring others to learn all they can about it, and get this truth known to the church, especially the young. Unfortunately, the concepts of traditional (secular) marriage are deeply ingrained in each of us and have caused many to sin. After all, this is all we have known for years. Will it be rectified over night? I’m not naive to think so. But one must begin somewhere. We must not reject Biblical truth.
